Cutting Board Medium End Grain

The end grain boards are made from laminated ¾” squares.  There are a couple advantages to this construction. 1) Because the end of the wood makes up the surface of the board, knives go between fibers instead of across them. 2) Additionally, end grain surfaces are 10x harder than side grain surfaces. 

These two features make end grain boards hard-wearing with less visible knife marks. End grain boards should be treated more frequently than side grain boards to retain their functionality and beauty.

The board is made from strips of USA local hardwoods laminated together to resist warping and to show off the beautiful wood grains and colours of the native trees.
