Since 1805 Graziani has been manufacturing candles at their factory in Livorno, in the region of Tuscany. The passion for this craft,extensive knowledge of the same and its trade secrets have been handed down from father to son for seven generations. These, combined with the most current technologies and continuous testing, have given life to candles that represent the perfect fusion between chemistry, history and craftsmanship.
As witnesses to the strong bond with their origins, the Meloria candles derive their name from one of the historical symbols of the city of Livorno, the “Torre delle Meloria” (Tower of the Meloria).

The candle is distinguished by the extremely shiny finish, achieved by hand by artisans who are able to create a contemporary avant-garde product through the application of long-standing techniques. Each candle is first dyed by immersing it in a special opaque wax bath. After at least 24 hours, the candle is immersed a second time in a natural cellulose-based varnish which is allowed to completely dry for up to six days, contrary to industrial candles that instead permit packaging of the sphere after merely twenty minutes.
Ovens are never used to accelerate the process; rather, a slow and natural drying system guarantees an excellent end result.
