The sharp blade of a Santoku allows anything from regular to wafer-thin cuts - it is therefore now indispensable in kitchens all around the world.
A classic amongst Asian style knives, the Classic Ikon Crème 5” Santoku is the most versatile blade designed for all cutting tasks. Featuring a hollow-ground edge, the dimples on the knife create air pockets allowing food to easily slide away from the blade. With its wide curved belly, this knife creates the perfect rocking motion for mincing and slicing vegetables, seafood, and meats.
The knife’s crème coloured handle rests comfortably in the hand while the small curvatures along the grip ensure a secure hold while prepping food. The handle is made from a highly durable synthetic material – Polyoxymethylene (POM) – which has a tighter molecular structure to resist fading and discoloration. The half bolster allows for the knife to be honed and sharpened the entire length of the blade while the heel bolster provides added balance.
